11/30/2017

Calgary Herald, November 29, 2017

Terrance Knapaysweet attempted to kill a house guest who refused to leave his house by slitting his throat with a large kitchen knife.  The victim managed to escape and called 911.

Mr Knapaysweet was charged with attempted murder.  He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of aggravated assault as agreed to by his lawyer, Shelley Moore, and the crown prosecutor.

At Moore's request, Justice Earl Wilson ordered a psychiatric, psychological, and risk assessment on her client.

Sentencing submissions will be made in March 2018.
